This is my mom, Johnnie Carlisle. She was diagnosed with IGA Neuropathy and Fibromuscular Dysplasia 31 years ago.

She was able to maintain her kidney function for 25 years but began home peritoneal dialysis in 2019. In October 2024 she began home hemodialysis. She has been on dialysis for 6 years.

Now, 6 years later and many transplant evaluations where the answer was always "she isn't a candidate at this time", it looks like she will finally be listed. We are hopeful.

We lost my dad in 2022 very unexpectedly and she has three children, six grandchildren and a host of family and friends that need her here, love her and want her to be able to live the life she dreams of without machines, random hospital stays and treatment 4 times a week after working all day.
