Johnnie is the kind of person who keeps going, no matter what life throws at her. Even as MS has made daily life unpredictable and painful, she’s continued to work, care for her family, and push forward. Right now, though, the weight of it all is too much to carry without help.

Over the last few years, she has faced countless treatments, transfusions, and surgeries, including a hysterectomy in January. Earlier this year, she suffered a sprained ankle and continued working in a boot, determined to keep going despite the pain. All these health challenges have made it physically difficult for her to work enough hours to cover her basic living expenses, as she's gone from cane or walker to wheelchair or boot and back again.

Throughout her life, Johnnie has always put others first. She has spent years helping her children, nieces, and community, offering support and kindness whenever she can.
