My name is Tiffany Wiles and My husband is Johnny Wiles. We are coming to gofundme to help raise money for John Wiles (my father in-law).On July 4th 2024 John started to not feel well with stomach and chest discomfort. That evening he began to vomit blood. Lisa took him to the Emergency room where he was admitted and scheduled a scope for the next day (july 5th). After the scope Everything changed drastically!! He was moved to ICU at Berkeley Medical Center. We were then told it was his liver causing his blood vessels in his throat and stomach to ruptured and he was bleeding out. Berkeley was able to band the vessels to slow down bleeding until they could life flight him out. 4:30 on Friday he was life flighted to Ruby Hospital in Morgantown,WV. Once there we learned that John will eventually will need a new liver and will have a long road ahead of him.. He is currently in ICU on a vent to prevent him from choking on blood (new and old). Once he is fully stable they will perform a procedure to bypass his liver as a bridge to give more time till we figure out the next step to getting him a new liver. John does not have medical insurance. We are currently trying to get assistance from the hospital but unsure what will happen next. The reason for all this is to ask for help with gas, food and hotel stays for Lisa Wiles as she will have to travel back and forth from Morgantown to Hedgesville,wv. As well as helping her keep bills paid since now she will only have her income. John will not be working for an unnone amount of time. So any little help would be greatly appreciative. This came out of no where with no warning so we as a family are still trying to process how everything changed so quickly. Please pray for John and our family in this difficult time. Thank you
