Support John Weaver’s Fight With Cancer

Our family is organizing this fundraiser for John Weaver Sr. All who know John know that this past year has been a year of many health challenges.

In March 2022 John was the recipient of a liver transplant due to non-alcoholic cirrhosis. John came through the surgery fine, but throughout the year he faced issue after issue and was in and out of the hospital and off of work for weeks at a time. John never fully recuperated. As time went on John became very thin and frail and unable to eat.

Last week he developed pain in his stomach, which had him doubled over. His wife took him to the emergency room. It was in the emergency room where they found a mass in his stomach. A biopsy was done and it came back as cancer. The mass is entangled around lymph nodes and nerves which is causing him severe pain. He has lesions in his stomach and a lesion in his lung. The cancer is aggressive.

John does have insurance for now but the type he has requires him to pay 10% of all medical expenses. John’s liver transplant alone was over $1 million. Now he is fighting cancer.

We are asking for prayers for John and his family. We are praying for a miracle, and praying that God provides peace and comfort in their time of need.

There will be travel expenses, and the 10% co-pay and most of all John and Sue’s lost income from work. If you have it in your heart, please donate and help lessen their financial burden and let them concentrate in trying to beat this dreaded disease.
