A couple of months ago, our coworker and friend John Serrano began experiencing shortness of breath. At first, it didn’t seem serious. But in late November, John woke up feeling extremely unwell and knew something wasn’t right. He went to the doctor, where he was told something no one ever expects to hear... he had nearly lost his life due to severe internal bleeding.

Doctors acted quickly and performed emergency surgery to stop the bleeding. Thanks to their intervention, John is now on the road to recovery. However, the recovery process is not easy. He has been told it will take approximately 2–3 weeks before he can return to light work, and 6–8 weeks before he is able to fully resume normal activity.

During this time, John is facing medical expenses and lost income while focusing on healing and regaining his strength. We are starting this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden so he can concentrate on what matters most—his recovery.
