Support John Rogers' Road to Recovery

Dearest Community,

I am starting this fundraiser in support of John Rogers, one of my closest friends and long time member of the Ithaca community.

John was in a severe biking accident last Saturday when he was struck and run over by a truck pulling a cargo trailer. He was airlifted to the hospital and by the grace of the angels and a rapid response team, Johnny is still with us. He broke over 22 bones, the worst of which are in his left ankle and leg. While he has already undergone multiple surgeries in the last week he may need more and certainly has a long recovery ahead regardless. He is currently still in the hospital completely immobilized and if he doesn't need further surgeries, he will be in rehab for some time.

For those of you who know John, you are lucky to know his giving spirit when it comes to sharing his time, help and resources. It is my hope that we can lighten the burden for him and his family at this time so they can focus on his recovery and not worry too much about possible medical expenses and time missed from work.
