NEU and GMB members successfully stopped one attempt to the force academisation of their school. They need your help to continue.
A vibrant community campaign and many days of strike action led to the withdrawal of the University Schools Trust who finally had to admit they were not capable of taking on the school.
The Regional Schools commissioner s yet has made no formal announcement, but as time goes by, rumour persist that United Learning Trust (ULT) have their eye on the school. However those who are potentially in the know seem determined to withold information from unions and the community until the last possible moment.
NEU members have expressed their intention to carry on the fight to keep John Roan within the family of Greenwich schools. GMB members are equally as determined to defend their members from the impending attacks on pay and conditions that go hand in hand with academisation nationally
Trade unionists and other supporters locally and from across the country continue to express solidarity for this crucial national battle against the privatisation of our education system.
