Help John Paul Stay in His Home After Tragic Loss
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
I’m writing today with a heavy heart to ask for your help on behalf of my dear friend, John Paul, who is going through an incredibly difficult time.
Just days ago, John came home to a tragic and devastating discovery — his roommate had passed away suddenly due to unexpected health complications. This heartbreaking loss has not only shaken John emotionally but has also left him in an urgent financial crisis. With his roommate gone, John is now solely responsible for covering the full cost of the rent and utilities — expenses he simply cannot afford on his own right now.
John has been making ends meet by driving for Uber and Lyft, mostly depending on local college students for rides. But it's currently the slow season, and ride requests have drastically decreased. To make matters worse, John has been struggling with his own health issues, which limit his ability to take on other types of work. Uber and Lyft are truly all he can manage physically at this point.
Right now, he’s facing the real and terrifying possibility of losing his apartment — his only safe space and home — unless he can raise $10,000 to cover rent, utilities, and basic living expenses for the next few months while he gets back on his feet. He has been given notice to move in less than 2 weeks.
Anyone who knows John knows he is extremely kind. He would never ask for help unless he truly had no other choice. We’re asking anyone who can to please consider giving — whether it’s $5, $50, or just sharing this page — it will make a difference. Every little bit helps.
Let’s help John Paul stay in his home and begin to rebuild his life after such a heartbreaking loss. Your compassion and generosity would mean the world to him right now.
Thank you so much,
