Hello, my name is Renee Cruz, and I am a School Counselor and the Class of 2026 Advisor at John Muir High School in Pasadena, California. I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of our senior class, an incredible group of students who have already faced more than most at their age. Many of our seniors and their families were directly impacted by the devastating Eaton Canyon Fire that happened back in January. Our families are still working to rebuild. Senior year is meant to be their time to celebrate all they have accomplished, to mark the milestones they have worked so hard for, and to create memories that will carry them into adulthood. Yet, because of the financial and emotional toll this disaster has taken on their families, we fear they may lose the traditions that every graduating class deserves—Senior Class Hoodies, Senior Sunset, Prom, and Grad Nite.
