On August 31, 2025 my son, John Michael Thornton was involved in a firework explosion. He was life flighted to Vandy with several injuries. He did not have insurance at the time of the accident.

On September 8, 2025, he underwent surgery to repair broken fingers and to have 4 fingers grafted. He just started his job July 7th, so he has no vacation time or sick leave to use and he will be unable to work for several weeks. He is stressed out already over the hospital bills that have already started coming. Anything will help.
