As most of you know, our father, John Melendez, has been facing an ongoing challenge with Advanced Stage Four Renal Cell Carcinoma since 2020.

It has been a relentless timeline: the cancer started in his kidney then his lungs, and shortly after that, his brain. He is currently fighting three active tumors in his brain.

His journey has been intense, including the kidney removal, a heart attack, multiple focused radiations, chemo treatments, and immunotherapy.

Unfortunately, new symptoms have forced him to take a medical leave from work per his oncologist's recommendation.

As the sole provider, this creates a significant financial gap, with 30 days before disability funds kick in (if approved), causing intense concern about essential bills like rent, food, and medical expenses.

Having already surpassed his initial prognosis of 6 months, by the grace of God, his resilience is an inspiration and we are deeply grateful for any support to help my parents through this.
