On January 30th, our lives were turned upside down when my 14-year-old son, John Martinez, was involved in a serious accident in Whisper Falls. He was riding his dirt bike when he collided with a truck. John was immediately rushed to University Hospital, where he is currently in the trauma unit undergoing surgery and will remain in the ICU as doctors closely monitor his condition. John will be having multiple surgeries.

John has suffered multiple broken bones and fractures, as well as a severe injury to his spleen. His road to recovery will be long and challenging, and he will also require physical therapy and future surgeries. Unfortunately, John does not have medical insurance, and the medical expenses are already overwhelming for our family.
