For those of you that that have been using Garnish Catering, know that I am very fortunate to have a great team that I work with. A member of my team needs your help.
“Big” John Harrington has been with Garnish Catering for almost five years. In 2020, John was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. He worked through it, while going to doctor’s appointments and getting chemotherapy, and then went into remission. About nine months later, John went in for a check up and the cancer was back but now it was colon and lymphatic cancer and it had spread to all parts of his body. He worked though it again, but I could tell it was different this time. On his doctor’s advice, John tried a different kind of treatment…and it did well for a while…but, it was still ravaging him. John decided to take a break from working to rest and heal. He would come in when he could…or work an event when he could…but, I could see the weight he was losing was drastic, and his huge persona was taking a beating. John has finally decided that he could no longer work and wants to be with his family and friends for the time he has left.
John, along with his friends and family, will be celebrating his “last” birthday on July 13th at Ali’s Bar & Grill from 2-6pm. You are all invited to come by and wish him well. Please let me know if you decide to come…as Garnish Catering will be supplying the food.
The Team at Garnish Catering started a GoFundMe page to help John and his family offset some of the costs associated with his illness. I have attached it for your consideration.
John has the biggest heart with the most infectious personality and he is one of the best people I have ever come to know, and love. Please help him. We have already raised $3500 of the $12,000 goal…
Thank you for your consideration.
