Support John Farrell's Journey to Recovery

Hi, my name is John Farrell. Some of you may know me, some of you may not. Back in February, I went to a chiropractor to get some routine adjustments and I was severely injured. Now, seven months later, I'm suffering from cervical instability. I have pretty much lost everything.

I’ve been to ER specialists, neurosurgeons, multiple neurologists. I traveled all the way up to Massachusetts and New Hampshire to be with my family to try and figure this out and see better doctors. No one can really understand or explain what is going on with me. I pretty much had to do all the legwork and figure it out on my own.

I’m suffering from massive pressure in the face to nerve pain all throughout my body. This chiropractor stretched out my ligaments, which is what supports the top two vertebrae in your neck, causing this after his manipulation. I was stuck in bed for over a month, stiff in pain. Still, I’m extremely stiff and in pain, but it has evolved to much worse symptoms.

There are specific treatments that can be done to help treat cervical instability, prolzonetherapy and PRP treatments. These treatments are not covered by insurance but can help regenerate tissue that has been overstretched by trauma. I’m simply at a place in my life right now where I can’t financially even support myself because of this injury. It’s hard to keep my neck in a steady place for too long without needing to lay down. The pressures in the nerve spasms and the pain is all too much to bear most days.

I know times are tough right now so asking for help from anyone is a stretch, but I don’t want to give up yet because all I want is to get back to a place where I can just be a good father and take care of my son and enjoy my son. So, I’m posting this story to try and aid in that journey. This injury has cost me not only my relationships, my financials, and my mind to crack, but most importantly, it’s taken time away from my son. And I just want to get treated so that I can start feeling better.

No one deserves to live like this, but the medical system is broken and when things aren’t clear cut, you have to take matters into your own hands, so that’s what I’m doing. Thank you for reading.
