Hi, I'm John and I'm raising funds to assist my partner Erin and I navigate through my recent diagnosis and treatment of inoperable (Stage 4) metastatic pancreatic cancer. This has been a sudden shock for us as we recently moved to British Columbia to start a new chapter in our lives. We now find that life has different plans.

Erin dropped everything to move to B.C. with me last year on a promise I'd made to my family to return one day. We were blessed with finding a great home, a great job for me, and visits from my two children who are both studying at universities in different provinces.

In February 2025, I went to the ER with stomach pain. After a number of tests, I was diagnosed on May 5th. The truth is I don't have much time left, and I want to make things as easy as I can for Erin and my children once I am no longer here.

These funds will be used to bridge the gap for my loss of work, taking care of unforeseen end of life expenses, and to assist Erin as she navigates the beginning of her life without me. As Erin is on disability, I don't want her to struggle with any additional financial burdens when I'm gone.
