Disabled Veteran Fighting for
His Life in Germany
John, a 100% disabled veteran, went in for neck surgery in May after suddenly losing feeling in his arm. What should have been a straightforward procedure turned into a nightmare. Since then, he has been placed in a medically induced coma, put on ECMO to keep him alive, and has been ventilator-dependent through a tracheotomy ever since.
He has fought through sepsis, pneumonia, dialysis, gallbladder removal, abscesses from ECMO ports, and now worsening liver failure. John has been completely bedridden since May 23, 2025, only just beginning to move his fingers again.
John served his country honorably in the military and then continued his service as a U.S. government employee for nearly 20 years. The government moved him to Germany for work — and now he is stranded there, fighting for his life, while his family faces the emotional and financial strain of supporting him through this crisis.
Although doctors cleared him four weeks ago to be transported back to the U.S. for further care, bureaucratic delays have left him stuck in Germany instead of receiving the treatment he urgently needs stateside.
All donations will go directly toward John’s medical care and to help cover lodging and expenses for his family once he arrives back in the U.S. for ongoing treatment.
Please consider donating or sharing to support John and his family in this fight for his life. Every share and every dollar makes a difference.
