My dad, John Butts was diagnosed with Sigmoid Colon Adenocarcinoma last year. This is his second time around in this fight. He's had many, many visits to the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Each drive there is several hours one way and include a few nights stay at the least. He's scheduled to have a major two-day surgery at the end of May. The recovery for this surgery will be several months and the outcome is unknown. Dad and his wife will have to stay in Jacksonville for the recovery process.

While this is happening, dad isn't able to work but the bills don't stop coming. On top of all the medical expenses, it's overwhelming.
