Our dear friend John Ayers was in a terrible motorcycle accident on February 27, 2026 when a car hit him head on. The accident caused severe damage to his leg and several broken bones. He was brought to the local hospital in Pendleton and then life-flighted to OHSU in Portland, OR. The surgeon was not able to save his leg and it had to be amputated. John has a very long recovery ahead of him, and the loss of his leg will cause challenges throughout the rest of his life.

John is an extremely loving father and husband to his three girls, Tessa, Alli, and Kylee, and to his beautiful wife, Stephanie. He always puts his family first and never hesitates to show them how much he cares. He is also an incredible friend who would gladly give you the shirt off his back. He is a hardworking, loving, and caring person who was a huge support for our family in our recent time of need. John is so strong and resilient, and with the help of his incredible support team we know he will get through this.

His family is needing financial support as the medical bills start piling up, along with food, travel, and lodging expenses while he is in the hospital.
