Hi, my name is John, and a few months ago, my world turned upside down with an ALS diagnosis. In the photo above, you can see me standing—a small victory I still cling to, though not for long. This relentless disease is stealing my strength, and soon, even standing briefly will be impossible without the 12 hours a day I spend on a ventilator just to breathe. ALS is brutal, but what’s breaking us even more is the financial burden we cannot carry alone.
My wife, Vanessa, is my rock. She’s doing everything humanly possible to care for me, but as my condition worsens, she can’t manage my physical needs single-handedly anymore. We’re on our own—no family or friends nearby to lean on—so we desperately need to hire a caregiver to support her. Vanessa works tirelessly to keep us afloat, supplementing my Social Security with her salary. I’d only just retired when ALS struck, leaving us reliant on limited government aid that falls far short of what this disease demands.
We never imagined asking for help like this. It’s humbling and hard to admit we’re at this point. But with your support, we could afford a caregiver to ease Vanessa’s load, keep me safe at home, and let us hold onto some normalcy as we face this fight. Every dollar brings us closer to that lifeline—whether it’s $5 or $50, it all matters more than you know!
We’re grateful beyond words for any kindness you can share. Your generosity gives us hope in the darkest time of our lives. God bless you!
Funds will cover: Hiring a caregiver, medical supplies and equipment needed as the disease progresses.

** Any unused funds will be donated to an ALS charity.
** If you are friends or acquaintances of John, I'd encourage you to contact Vanessa first for further instruction. For a variety of reasons, she's managing John's interactions. That being said, your communications are welcomed and encouraged.
** Please do not send personal checks, only donate on this site.
