My Dad's Wish List: 1. Get my Dad's truck fixed. It was my grandfather's, it needs work, and he hasn't had the money to fix it. And other bucket list items he may be able and want to do.

Dear friends and family,

John and Michelle have been going through a lot since January when my Dad was complaining of not being able to swallow and my Dad found out he had esophageal cancer. He went through radiation, chemotherapy, and INTENSE surgery feeding tube and twice a month esophagus stretching. Things seemed to be looking up until my Dad was complaining of excruciating pain in the pelvis. We thought it was sciatica or a bulged disc. Turns out the cancer has spread throughout his body and we aren't sure how long he has to live.

My dad John is a military veteran (Army, Specialist 4th Class), a loving husband to Michelle, and a dedicated father, grandfather. He’s also a 26-year leader in the Sacramento area NA (Narcotics Anonymous), where he’s inspired and uplifted countless lives. If you’ve ever heard John speak, you know what a remarkable, compassionate, and positive human being

They have had many medical expenses and now my Mom has taken off work to take care of him. As you can imagine it will be difficult to pay medical, and monthly bills without much income. They both work retail jobs.

John and Michelle are now in a truly tough spot. Neither can work right now, and they don’t have retirement savings to fall back on.

Lastly, I would love my Dad to have some bucket list wishes checked off for anything he may be able and want to do.
