My name is John Arellano and my daughter’s name is Aaliyah Echo Arellano. My daughter is 9 months old and her mom and I just got divorced. To make a long story short, there was a lot of toxicity in the household, and I couldn’t raise my daughter Echo in that kind of environment, so I filed for divorce. Now I’m in the process of fighting for custody of my beautiful baby girl Echo. I love my daughter more than anything in this universe, and I will do whatever it takes to protect my baby girl from harm. Unfortunately, that’s what has led me to go down the route of divorce. My dad has always told me growing up, “If your child can only have one good parent, then make sure that parent is you.” If my partner didn’t want to break that cycle for themselves, then I need to put my daughter first and break the cycle for her (Echo).
