Support John Adams' Urgent Dental Care Needs

Hello!

My name is John, and like a lot of people I’ve put off dental stuff because I either didn’t have insurance or couldn’t find a clinic that was in network. Now I'm dealing with constant pain in my teeth and mouth and I need help.

Recently I saw a dentist and was given an estimate for $3,500 out of pocket. This includes a deep cleaning to remove years of buildup and decalcify as well as some caps and crowns on teeth that are cracked or weakened.

This estimate is honestly not that bad for the amount of work I need done. However, I’m pretty much broke. I’m disabled and waiting for the Social Security Administration to approve my claim for Disability Insurance. Meanwhile, I’m working part time from home as a social media manager as well as attending college remotely. My job will likely be ending at the end of the year, so I’m struggling.

I’m already on food assistance and a few other social programs for low-income and disabled people. I’m ineligible for some programs because I’m not desperately ill and poor enough to qualify. I’ve already checked with dental schools and other resources, for which I’m either ineligible or there’s a considerable wait list.

So, as difficult and uncomfortable as this is for me, I'm asking you all for help. Any amount is appreciated, whether it’s $5 or just a reshare on your social media feed.
