John Adams and I have been friends for 50 years, having met in junior high and stayed close ever since. Six years ago, many of us supported his wife through her battle with leukemia, driving her to appointments and staying by her side. Now, John is facing his own health crisis, and it’s time for us to rally around him as he begins this difficult journey.
John was recently diagnosed with prostate cancer and is scheduled for surgery on Friday, 2/27/2026. Before he can have the surgery, he and his family must pay a significant out-of-pocket amount—a sum they simply don’t have in savings. John has already been receiving monthly injections to suppress testosterone, which fuels cancer growth, and the medical bills are piling up. After surgery, he will need radiation five days a week for up to six months. To make things even more challenging, John also has a serious heart condition known as the 'Widow Maker' due to calcium buildup, which requires ongoing care and brings additional expenses.
The funds raised will help cover urgent medical bills, surgery costs, and ongoing treatments, while also providing peace of mind for John and his family. John has been unable to work full time and is not receiving full pay, and his wife cannot work due to her own health issues. The uncertainty of what expenses lie ahead is a huge stressor for them. Your support—whether financial, through sharing this fundraiser, or by offering prayers—means the world to John and his family as they face the unknown. Thank you for helping us give John hope and strength during this challenging time.
