Help Support Johanna’s Battle with Homelessness, OCD & PTSD
Donation protected
My name is Johanna, and I am a survivor! I am a 32-year-old woman living on the streets of Southbay. I have endured attempted sexual assaults and a human trafficing kidnapping. I do not use or abuse drugs or alcohol. I take pride in my hygiene and value honesty and integrity. I am trustworthy. I struggle with severe OCD, anxiety, PTSD and a debilitating autoimmune condition. I am on the autism spectrum, which makes the world a bit more challenging for me. I have several compulsions, have difficulty expressing emotions, trouble communicating verbally at times and issues understanding social cues. I unintentionally make people feel uncomfortable in my presence because of my symptoms.
Your generous contribution helps me cover daily nutrition. I follow a strict plant-based diet due to my health. The remaining funds go towards covering medical expenses. Unfortunately, I am not eligible for Medi-Cal as a German citizen, and I cannot work a regular job due to my physical and mental conditions. Consequently, I am unable to afford housing or health insurance. Each day I survive on the streets, and I am reaching out to kind people like you for help to continue my journey toward a healthier and safer tomorrow.
A friend I met on the street kindly set up this GoFundMe campaign. In today’s digital world, most people don’t carry cash. He believes that using crowdfunding and a QR code will make getting donations easier than working long hours on the street every day.
Thank you for your kindness and support.
Johanna
