The ripple effects of anti-immigrant action in our community are wide and have impacted so many.

This donation request is for Johanna Arias, her 12-year-old daughter, and her 9-year-old son following the sudden and unexpected detention of Johanna's husband Henry.

Until recently, Johanna worked as a teacher at Appleseed Montessori (parents will hopefully remember her kind and gentle way with kids) and is currently working a factory job with long hours and early start time. Among other things, Henry was helping with getting the kids to school on time, and in his absence, Johanna is left to balance their well-being, finances, and her own physical security (she notes daily fear of leaving the home).

I have organized this donation to help Johanna with legal fees and routine finances/bills to at least give her and her children a couple of months of security.
