Joey turned 4 on January 21st, and just two days later, our joyful snow day in the backyard turned into our worst nightmare. As always, he bounded down the stairs to leap onto the couch—but this time, he slipped, landing hard on his side. My sweet, goofy best friend scrambled up, but something was wrong: he wouldn’t meet my eyes, turned away from his favorite treats, and started limping. Rushing him to the ER vet, my heart shattered when they found a mass on his spleen that had started bleeding from the fall.
An ultrasound confirmed it—we need surgery as soon as possible to save him. The total for tests, ultrasound, and the procedure is an estimated $21,490.10, and I’m aiming to raise at least $10,000 to cover as much as we can. Joey’s not just a dog; he’s my constant companion, the one who greets me with endless tail wags and cuddles through every tough day. Losing him is unthinkable—he’s my family, my light.
Every dollar brings him closer to recovery. If you can donate whatever you’re able, it means the world. Share his story if you can’t. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving my boy a fighting chance. ❤️
