Support Joey's Recovery Journey

Hi Everyone,

Joe and I wanted to give you an update on his condition. Joe began experiencing complications from the infection shortly after returning home and ended up back in the hospital. After many extensive tests to evaluate the infection, we found out Joe's cancer has returned. His cancer has metastasized and is considered stage four at this time. Joe will begin radiation next week in hopes to alleviate some of his discomfort. We wanted to thank you again for your overwhelming support as this has allowed Joe to focus on his recovery and now cancer treatments. We are continuing to keep Joe as comfortable as possible and will provide another update soon.

Hi everyone! I wanted to give you an update that Joey is home and continuing his recovery journey. He has a long road ahead of him but he is doing well and wants to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, and generosity. It means more to him than you will ever know!

I've come to realize that Joe Gauthier has more friends than I could have ever imagined. Joe is an amazing individual who lights up every room he enters with his infectious smile and positive spirit. Unfortunately, life took an unexpected turn and Joe found himself in the hospital battling health issues that require extensive medical care. He has been in the hospital for over one month with a blood infection that has traveled into his spine causing excruciating pain. After several setbacks, including kidney failure and blood transfusions, he is now on the road to recovery. Joe has been unable to walk due to the infection and will need several more weeks of physical therapy to get back on his feet. However, spine surgery is still a possibility to correct an abscess within the bone. It's going to be a long haul, but as we all know, Joe will make it through this.

As Joe fights to regain his health, the financial burden of hospital bills, medications, and ongoing treatment has become an additional source of stress. Joe's business is so important to him, but he is unable to work for a while until he regains the ability to walk. We are creating this GoFundMe page after having many people ask how they can help. We are hoping to do all that we can to make sure Joe does not have to worry financially and can focus solely on his recovery.

All funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward Joe's medical expenses, medications, surgery, and follow-up treatments. Your generous contributions, no matter the size, can make a world of difference. Additionally, your messages of encouragement and well wishes mean the world to him.
