Joey is fighting to recover after a traumatic ATV accident. Please help us support his medical care and his daughter Sophia during this heartbreaking time.

Hi, my name is Brianna, and I'm raising funds for my cousin Joey, who was recently involved in a life-threatening ATV accident. He is currently in the ICU and will be there for the foreseeable future.

Joey has suffered multiple severe injuries including numerous fractures along his spine, broken ribs that will not heal on their own, a broken and displaced scapula, along with other injuries still being assessed.

He has already undergone an intensive 8-hour surgery to remove internal bone fragments and stabilize fractures throughout his thoracic and lumbar vertebrae. His next major procedure will be rib plating, as the many broken ribs are too damaged to heal naturally and pose serious risk to his lungs.

Joey is currently intubated with a breathing tube and unable to move due to the extreme pain and extent of his injuries. CT scans and MRIs are being performed regularly to monitor changes, and new injuries are still being discovered almost 48 hours after the accident. All we are able to do is take this day-by-day, and pray for any progress.

I am hoping to raise funds to help cover both medical and housing expenses for Joey and his 13-year-old daughter, Sophia. Joey will be out of work for a long time as he begins what will likely be a long and difficult recovery journey.

If you know Joey, you know that he would do anything for the people he loves, or give his last penny to a stranger. The people in his life mean everything to him, especially his daughter who means more than life to him. Even in the ICU, his nurses have commented on what a sweetheart he is- despite the pain and trauma he’s enduring.
