Hi!! My name is Jordan Mitchell but most of you may know me as Joey Madison. I am an artist and songwriter finishing out my senior year at Berklee College of Music, majoring in Songwriting. I've been working hard to finish my degree while pursuing my dreams of making a difference through my music. But now, I need your help to make it to the finish line.
I was originally double majoring in Professional Music and Songwriting but due to it being a 5 year program instead of 4 my scholarships that were helping me cover most of the cost were taken away leaving me with the full tuition payment. I unfortunately had to drop my second major to help lower the cost for Fall Semester but even then I still had to take out a hefty loan. I have now dropped down to part-time status for Spring Semester which means the government unfortunately also takes away my other loan and this was done without notification to me. Despite these challenges, I have poured my heart into my studies, live performances, and community work as a Head Resident Assistant. However, financial difficulties are threatening to hold me back from completing my degree.
Since starting at Berklee, 5 years ago, I've met so many amazing artists and musicians as well as life-long friends. I've gotten to work with incredible artists like Allen Stone and perform on amazing stages like MGM Music Hall and the House of Blues. I have been able to release music with my amazing friends that I now call family. Showcasing the energy and joy of creating music within my community. Beyond music, I have dedicated my time to fostering connection and support of others, whether through my role as an RA or organizing charity concerts with the Bettering Boston Club at Berklee which helps our unhouse community here in Boston.
The funds raised will cover the remaining tuition and books, that I can no longer manage on my own. Every dollar will help me stay enrolled at Berklee, finishing out my senior year, and continue pursuing my dream of creating music that inspires and connects people.
Education is a privilege I don't take lightly. Berklee has shaped me as an artist and a person, and I am determined to use my platform to give back to others. Supporting me means investing in a future where I can continue to share music that brings joy and healing to the world.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering supporting my journey. Even if you can't donate, sharing this campaign means the world to me.

With love and gratitude,
Joey
