Hi, my name is Joey Rodriquez, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. Recently, my life was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with leukemia. In the coming days, I will be admitted to the hospital for an extended stay—about a month—to begin intensive treatment. While I’m focused on fighting this and doing everything I can to get better, the financial stress that comes with being unable to work, medical expenses, and everyday living costs has become overwhelming. I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but right now I need help.
