I'm reaching out with a mother's plea for help. A close friends son, Joey, is a fighter. In 2023, at just 17 years old, he faced a life-threatening crisis when he went into complete organ failure. Doctors at Columbia Presbyterian miraculously revived him after 22 days in the ICU and nine days in a medical coma. Joey’s family and friends were incredibly blessed to walk out of the hospital with Joey, watching him grow stronger every day.

Now, just two and a half years later, Joey is facing another daunting battle. This bright, compassionate young man, a junior at Rowan with a 4.0 GPA in pre-law and political science, has been hospitalized with congestive heart failure. Tragically, his kidneys and liver are also beginning to fail. The medical expenses are mounting, and the road ahead is uncertain, but everyone’s hope remains strong.
