Joey lived a fulfilling life in Los Angeles, where he enjoyed performing, creating music that touched the hearts of many. He was a talented recording artist who poured his soul into his craft. Joey had a passion for music that was unmatched. In his free time, he could often be found in the recording studio, perfecting his craft, or performing on stage somewhere in Los Angeles. You might even catch him as an extra in a few movies you’ve seen. His performances will be cherished forever.

Joey Salinas, born on September 12th, 1983 in Virginia, has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His untimely passing on April 21st, 2024 in Las Vegas has left a void that can never be filled.

Las Vegas has been a city of fun and memories for Joey. A place where he would gather with friends and even family throughout the years. Who knew that a city he loved to venture off to escape the realities of life would end in the ultimate heartbreak for the family.

After a weekend with friends in Las Vegas, on March 27th Joey reached out to his best friend to let him know he was stranded on the side of the highway after his electric car ran out of “juice”. What followed was radio silence that gave his friends cause for concern leading them to reach out to his family on April 1st fearing he was missing in the desert. His family began to search for him by starting at his last known location, calling neighboring hospitals, local police departments and even jails in the hope of finding Joey.

On April 2nd, Sunrise hospital in Las Vegas found his next of kin, Lupe, his younger sister’s phone number and reported he was unable to speak and if possible to make her way to him.

The family ever since was by Joey’s side to pray and advocate for him. Joey has always looked after his siblings, mother and father and his extended family and friends. His love for those special to him was always on full display and at no point would you doubt his love because that’s just who he was. He let everyone know how much they meant to him. He was a cherished friend and family member to many. His kind heart and infectious personality will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Joey will always be in our heart and minds.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his music will continue to inspire and uplift those who listen.

May he rest in peace.

Joey is survived by his mother Maria, his father Jose and his siblings Lupe, Cristian and David and nephew Santana.

All donations will go towards funeral and other costs associated to our son, Tio and  brother’s passing.
