For Joey!

We are asking for help to assist Kristen, Coty, Joey and Tyler during this difficult time.

On 8/23/25 while spending time with loved ones at the annual memorial for his late dad ,Kevin, our outgoing, sweet, goofy comedian Joey jumped into a pool and suffered a cardiac event. He went under water unresponsive, was rescued, given chest compressions and brought back by a friend Kevin grew up with. EMTs arrived within minutes and rushed Joey to the ICU while his Mom, Kristen, rushed to be by his side.

Testing upon admission showed a buildup of spinal fluid and a mass in Joey’s brain, which was most likely present for a long time. Joey immediately underwent emergency surgery, placing a catheter in his head to drain and maintain his spinal fluid. On 8/26 brain surgery was performed, successfully, to create a new permanent pathway for spinal fluid drainage and to take biopsies of the mass. While waiting for test results and next steps we are reaching out asking for help, to assist Kristen, with the growing financial burden that comes with saving her boy’s life. Donations would go toward Joey’s medical bills, upcoming medications and treatment, along with follow up visits hours away from home.

Through all this Joey has been so brave and curious, ready to navigate what’s next with a contagious smile on his face. He is joking, laughing and being his amazing self! His family has been through so much this past year and a half, remaining resilient with the kind hearts they’ve always had. We ask, on top of any monetary donation you can share, that you, please, wrap them all with your love and prayers.
