Joey Brazell ( brother of Carl and Melissa) was diagnosed with cancer in March. This is the same cancer that took his youngest brother in 2009 at age 45. For many years Joey lived with and cared for his elderly in laws after his wife’s death. He saw each through several rounds of cancer treatments over a decade. After the last unsuccessful round of treatment they were both placed in hospice by family. Now this challenging cancer diagnosis in 2020 has made the former caregiver in dire need of care. 

As the result of a back injury in 2019 he is not able to support himself.He is going to start chemo in July. He needs a quiet, safe place to live near his doctors and treatment .  He will need transportation to take him back and forth between appointments as he is no longer able to drive himself.  We thank you for opening your hearts to Joey’s challenges and will keep you updated to his progress in this journey.
