For anyone who doesn’t know, Joey West was diagnosed with ALS in March of 2024. He has currently lost all use of his hands and arms. He stumbles and has very little energy to walk. When he loses his balance and falls, he has no way of stopping himself from hitting his head/face.

We are trying to get Joey a custom-made power chair that he will be able to drive with his knees. The insurance approved their part, but we still have a large co-pay. Wendy has to be his full-time caregiver. She still does the home bakery, but that and Joey’s Social Security barely covers the basics. So we are asking for help with the power chair.

New goal will also get Joey a folding electric wheelchair, one that is a lot wider and will be more comfortable than his current wheelchair and a lot easier for Wendy to push.
