Support Joey Darnell's Recovery Journey

Hi, my name is Joey Darnell. For those that know me, I'm a type one diabetic. Unfortunately, diabetes is finally taking its effect on my body. I recently, quite recently actually, had five of my toes amputated and I'm still not out of the woods yet. My stay in the hospital was quite lengthy, two months to be exact. Although I am out now, I am still recovering and non-weight-bearing. As you can imagine, the hospital bills have stacked up as well as my personal bills. I'm hanging in there, but I could really use some help from my friends. I don't like doing this. I've never been in this type of situation, but now I feel this is my last resort. I am currently waiting on disability to come through, but we all know that takes a moment. I had three surgeries while I was in the hospital. One was the amputation. The second one was a vascular surgery to improve the circulation in my leg, and the last one was a debridement of necrotic tissue. The eye surgery seems to be going well, praise God. I really don't know what else to say but thank you for your consideration and donations. Sincerely, Joey Darnell
