Hi everyone. For those of you who do not know me, I am Kassie. Joe's ex-wife and mother of our 18 year old daughter Jayda. Please read the entire thing so you can get a brief understanding of the situation. Thank you!

On what started as a joyful weekend of riding at Riverdale Raceway in Toutle, Joe’s life was suddenly turned upside down. While out on the track with his son, family, and close friends, Joe suffered a devastating accident. After hitting a tabletop jump, his glove got caught, causing him to whiskey throttle in 3rd gear. In his attempt to bail, he hit the ground hard, skidding before the bike landed against him.

When family rushed to his side, Joe—always steady, always strong—told them not to move him and to call 911. EMS arrived quickly and, fearing internal bleeding, made the critical decision to life flight him to PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Hospital in Vancouver. Scans confirmed the severity of his injuries: a snapped pelvic bone and a completely torn Achilles tendon.

Joe underwent surgery early the next morning to have pins and screws inserted, and he will require another surgery in the coming week to repair his Achilles.

As the primary provider for his family, this accident leaves Joe facing not only a long and painful recovery but also the heavy financial strain of medical bills and lost wages. His wife Betty, a stay-at-home mom to their six-year-old daughter, Ariana, now carries the weight of supporting their household during this uncertain time.

Joe is the kind of person who shows up for everyone. Whether it’s fixing a car, rescuing someone stranded, mentoring kids, or simply offering a helping hand, he has always been there without hesitation. To me, he is not just my ex-husband, but my best friend and one of the kindest, most genuine souls I know. He has raised our daughter—and loved my other three children—as his own, being a devoted dad through every sickness, milestone, and challenge.

Now, it’s our turn to be there for him. Joe and Betty were already in the process of purchasing their home, and this accident has compounded their financial stress in unimaginable ways.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will go directly to Joe and Betty to help cover medical bills, household needs, and the essential costs of supporting their family while Joe begins the long road of healing.

Thank you for standing with Joe, Betty, and Ariana during this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity will not only ease their financial burden but also remind Joe that the same community he’s always lifted up now has his back.
