Hi there! I sincerely appreciate you taking the time to read about Joe and his story! I met Joe while helping him out of his car. I decided to help bring in his groceries and quickly realized Joe was living in extreme filth. Unlivable conditions for anyone but especially for someone his age. Joe is 83 years old, lives alone, has no family, or care to help him, has Parkinson’s disease and on top of that, lives on the 3rd floor, making it extremely difficult to get in and out. He is quite literally getting by off social security checks and the kindness of strangers. When I saw his living conditions and heard his story I knew I needed to do something. I called in a biohazard cleaning crew to come in and give us an estimate. The total they gave us was $2,850 so graciously taking off an extra $1,000. I’m creating this go fund me to help with the costs of the cleaning and to help get Joe re-established and help him comfortably live out the rest of days.
