This has been a tough 6 months for Joe and I. I started having some medical issues at the first of the year and had surgery at the end of April which took all of our savings, 5 weeks later we were rear-ended, then 2 days later Joe had a seizure while on a ladder and damaged both shoulders. Now he needs to see multiple specialists but he doesn't have insurance. The initial visit for each is $300-$500. That on top of any follow-ups, the outrageous hospital bills and not knowing when or if he'll ever get to go back to work is already stressful enough. Then we found out our rent is increasing to more than we can pay so we need to figure out a way to come up with a deposit, first month's rent and money for movers so we can have somewhere to live before our lease is up mid-August.

We aren't the type to ask for handouts and we've always figured out a way to make it through no matter the situation. But this time, I am swallowing my pride and asking for even a small amount of help.
