This is by far the hardest thing our family has ever had to endure or share. On Monday, November 10, we lost our “glue.” Joe has passed away. He is now free of suffering, free of pain, free of the burden of having to be in and out of the hospitals. No one would’ve ever guessed that Joe had been sick for 16 years because he would’ve never told you otherwise. He went in and out of the hospital, only to come out and still live his life. You would find him at parties with his kids and family, at the casinos, in his room playing games on his phone, listening to Spanish music at the highest volume, or enjoying his cheeseburger.
The last three years of Joe’s time with us have really taken their toll. There have been built-up medical expenses, loss of wages, and now we are trying to give him a sending home that he deserves. We are asking for any type of support, whether that be a prayer, a phone call, and if any way possible, a donation.
We would like to thank anybody who has already reached out to our family in support, anyone who has offered a prayer, anyone who has stopped by the house to give sympathies, and to anyone who is able to donate, we would like to thank you in advance.
On behalf of the Martinez family, we appreciate you and we thank you, and hope you can help us in sending him Home.
