A few days ago my husband Joe and I received some devastating news that rocked our world like never before. He was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer that has traveled to his brain. We are still reeling over this diagnosis because we thought he had a mini stroke but when they did a CT scan of his brain they found the real reason for his symptoms. To say that we are shocked and in disbelief is an understatement. However we are remaining positive and we are going to fight this battle with everything we have. God is in charge and he has the last word. For those of you who have the pleasure of knowing Joe... already know what a good person he is. He does not deserve this diagnosis but unfortunately Cancer does not discriminate. Joe will not be able to work and his long term disability will not take effect for 12 weeks and even then it won’t be enough.
