After 5 years in remission, I’m once again facing one of the hardest battles of my life: I was recently informed that I have relapsed with Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
At the same time, after 14 years in the same place I’ve called home, I’ve just learned I need to move unexpectedly. The stress of moving is overwhelming on its own, but combined with cancer treatments, it has become more than I can manage alone. I am doing my best to stay strong and focus on healing, but the costs of relocating, securing a safe and stable home, and keeping up with medical needs are beyond my means right now.
I’ve set a fundraising goal of $30,000 to $40,000. This amount will help cover:
Moving expenses, deposits, and monthly rents in a new home
Basic living necessities during treatment
Medical costs not fully covered by insurance.
This goal reflects what I realistically need to stay safe, stable, and focused on healing, while leaving room for extra donations from generous supporters who may wish to contribute above and beyond.
Any amount, big or small, will make a real difference in my life. If you are unable to give, sharing this fundraiser with others would mean the world to me.
I am so grateful for the love and kindness of my community. Thank you for helping me through this difficult time.
With love and gratitude,
Joenell
