Hello, my name is Joel, owner/operator of the Wreckit Lifting Club in San Diego. I am going on my 3rd year in business, and in that time, the gym has become a home to seasoned and brand new lifters. I’ve started an after-school teen program, and it’s growing every month, helping the kids with coaching, programming, and technique. I’ve been able to gain sponsors to provide scholarships to some of the kids as well. I’ve put more energy into helping the surrounding community as well as the strength community and am now asking for help.

These last few months, I’ve been hit with rent increases and repairs to the building, which have put the gym's lease in jeopardy of being terminated early. I do not have the resources to move the gym at this time and just need support to get through this. I do not take a paycheck from the gym. I am driven to help people get into the gym, lift correctly, set goals, and build friendships and support systems that will stay with them long term. My gym is small, and every member thinks of it as home a safe space to grow and be themselves without high population or pressures. Thank you for donating or stopping by.
