Support Joel's Recovery from Aortic Rupture
Donation protected
We are excited to support the McNeal family as Joel recovers!
On Sunday, December 15th, Joel McNeal arrived at church ready to serve and lead worship. He started to experience dizziness, sat down, and was shortly unresponsive. He was transported to Mount Carmel Grove City where they discovered he had an aortic rupture from his neck to his groin (a life-threatening tear in the aorta, the body's main artery). Grove City said that he was unlikely to survive through the day. He was then transferred to a near by hospital where they performed an emergency surgery. This surgery has a 50/50 survival rate and usually takes at least 8 hours.
Friends and family gathered for hours of worship and prayer for a miracle, and that is exactly what God gave us! His surgery was completed in just 5 hours, and within 24 hours from this event, Joel is awake, talking, can recognize friends and family, and is overall beating all odds. It was highly likely he would experience neuro damage and while we are not out of the woods yet, it's a great sign of God's work that Joel is talking!
We want to be 'the village' for the McNeal family and support them financially as Joel has a long recovery. Joel and Elisha have four children; Silas (15), Nehemiah (13), Everleigh (11) and Ella Mae (9) and we would love to lift some of the financial burden for this family, especially during the Holiday season. We are so grateful for how God has moved, and we appreciate any and all support.
Joel, Elisha, and the kids want to thank you all for your prayers, messages, visits, and support!
