My name is Joel, and I recently had to undergo emergency knee surgery that I never saw coming. Because of this, I’ll be out of work for at least two months while I recover. This has put me in a really tough spot, as I’m the only source of income for my family.

I have three wonderful kids and a mortgage to keep up with, and the sudden loss of income has made it difficult to cover our basic needs.
