Joella is the owner of SJ&H Roofing and has always been known for her strength and determination. About two and a half years ago, her life changed dramatically when she fell from a roof while working. The accident left her with a broken right leg in multiple places, a broken left ankle, and a back injury. She was rushed to Jackson, MS, for surgery and spent weeks confined to bed, unable to move or work. The road to recovery was long and difficult, taking nearly a year before she could walk and function halfway normally again.
Just as things seemed to be improving, Joella’s right leg began causing her severe pain and became infected. She was admitted to the hospital again, where doctors discovered that all the metal plates and eight screws in her leg had broken. This meant another major surgery and another long period of being bedridden, this time with a PICC line for daily antibiotics. Throughout all of this, Joella’s business suffered greatly, and I was by her side, caring for her every step of the way. With no insurance to cover the mounting medical bills, the financial strain has been overwhelming.
Joella has always believed that God is good and will provide a way. She is incredibly grateful for any help, even though she would never ask for it herself. She has always paid kindness forward and would do the same for anyone in need. Your support will help cover her medical bills and give her business a chance to recover, so she can get back to doing what she loves. Thank you for considering a donation to help Joella during this challenging time.
The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace. Thank you so much for helping Jo, even if and especially if it’s from your prayers for her full recovery.
