Support Joel Through Cancer Treatment & Recovery

Hi, I'm Laurel Hiatt, and probably most of you know that my childhood bestie and lifetime partner in crime is Joel Walter Hiatt.

Joel is an artist, a musician, a goofball, and now, a future cancer survivor.

Joel was diagnosed with testicular cancer on January 25, 2023. This diagnosis followed a month and a half of urgent care visits, discussions with a urology/oncology team, and a lot of collective worry and anxiety.

We need to raise about $1300 *IMMEDIATELY* to cover the cost of Joel's surgery on Monday (January 30, 2023). It's important that the surgical team excises the tumor as quickly as possible so it doesn't spread. Afterwards, we will need additional funds to cover the expenses related to testing the tumor and determining what extent of radiation/chemotherapy will be needed, and then of course to help pay for that radiation/chemotherapy. I am asking for the amount necessary to cover Joel's deductible, because right now health insurance isn't paying for *any* of this.

I know Joel's got this, and you know Joel's got this, but for right now, things are really stressful and scary. Anything that you could give would be really helpful, ease the stress of cancer treatment and recovery, and would help give us peace of mind.
