On the early morning of August 28th, our Laborers Local 89 union brother, Joel Gomez, tragically was taken away from us due to an incident at his worksite. Joel was a hardworking man with a strong work ethic. At the young age of 27, he still had a full life ahead of him.

Our entire staff at LiUNA Local 89 and our membership are shaken by this tragic loss and offer our sincere condolences to his family.

Joel is survived by his three sisters, brother, and parents. They now face a truly heartbreaking task of getting his affairs together and providing him the proper sendoff that he deserves. A father and mother should never have to bury a son.

All funds collected will be gifted to the parents of Joel Gomez.
