Joel Castillo is a 23-year-old single father who has always worked hard to provide for his young Daughter. On January 6th, 2026, while working on a metal building roof in Georgia, Joel’s life changed in an instant. As he was drilling metal screws, he accidentally struck live industrial electrical wires, suffering severe burns from the high voltage. He was immediately airlifted to UF Shands Hospital in Florida, where he is now receiving critical care.

Joel’s family has come together to support him, with his parents and five siblings traveling across multiple states to be by his side. The road ahead will be long and challenging, with mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and lost income as Joel and his family focus on his recovery. Joel has always been full of life, humble, and a dedicated father, despite also struggling with diabetes.
