Support Joe Wolf's Road to Recovery

On Sunday morning, our family’s world was turned upside down when my brother, Joe Wolf, was involved in a terrible motorcycle accident. He’s currently at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Joe sustained catastrophic injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, multiple skull fractures, brain bleeds, a collapsed lung, five broken ribs, and tragically, he has lost his eyesight. He was initially in the ICU, where he received immediate care, and has now been moved to the intermediate trauma floor as his condition stabilizes.

Joe will undergo plastic surgery to repair his orbital sockets by adding plates and screws. While we’re grateful for the care he’s receiving, we know this is just one of many surgeries and treatments that will be necessary on his road to recovery.

Joe has always been a strong, caring, and independent person. He’s a son, a brother, a friend, and someone who has always put others first. Joe is the strongest person I know. Seeing him in this state is heartbreaking, but we remain hopeful. His recovery will be a long and painful process, and we’re here to support him every step of the way.

The road to recovery is going to be expensive. With surgeries, treatments, and rehabilitation ahead, the medical bills are quickly piling up. In addition to the hospital expenses, we also face the uncertainty of when Joe will be able to return to work and support himself and his family again.
